Ministry starting work to boost transparency and anti-corruption system

First work meeting was held at the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia within the frames of “Boosting transparency and anti-corruption system” project. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister Eka Sepashvili, representatives of USAID Georgia and IDFI. The project aims at improving governance principles, refining ethics at public sector, developing strategy for preventing corruption at the Ministry. New standards ensuring increase of accountability and transparency will be developed within the project. 

At the meeting participants discussed goals, objectives and measures of the project. In compliance with one of the goals of the project, Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia will join 2016 – 2017 Open Governance Action Plan of the Government of Georgia.  

The project is implemented with the support of USAID project “Good Governance Initiative in Georgia and with participation of IDFI. ­
