Memorandum of economic cooperation between the self-governing cities was signed

The conference “Georgian Cities - the driving forces for development " was held by supporting of Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia in Kutaisi. Memorandum of economic cooperation between the self-governing cities was signed within the frameworks of the conference.

The event was opened by Mayor of Kutaisi Shota Murgulia. Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Tengiz Shergelashvili and Governor of Imereti  Givi Chichinadze welcomed the guests. 

Conference participants discussed the following topics: the role of cities in national and regional development; Cooperation between municipalities and joint products.  Development strategy of Kutaisi was presented at the event, as well.  The donor organizations, the mayors of the cities and non-governmental organizations attended the meeting.
