Heavy equipment is working in the Municipality of Gardabani – place where natural disaster occurred

Staff of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia visited Gardabani to get familiar with the situation on site. The Fund is the implementing agency of a second, 6.8 km long section of Tbilisi-Rustavi motor road. From the construction site part of heavy equipment moved to the place where natural disaster occurred.
Previous night’s heavy rain caused flooding to the settlement nearby Tbilisi-Rustavi highway. Water level reached to 1.5 m in the gutter. Rescuers saved the people from their apartments on rescue boats.
Heavy equipment is cleaning gutter since this morning to let water flow freely.
