Georgian side will cooperate with Saudi Arabia in the field of tourism

The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia- Zurab Alavidze and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Kingdom of Spain – Zurab Pololikashvili met with heads of Saudi Arabia Tourism and National Heritage Commission. 
The President of the Commission, Prince Sultan Bin Salman al-Saud congratulated Zurab Pololikashvili on his election to the position of WTO Secretary General.
At the introductory meeting, the sides exchanged information about the tourism potential of the countries and agreed on future cooperation. Zurab Alavidze thanked Sultan bin Salman al-Saud for supporting Georgia's candidate for the position of Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization.
The elections were held in Madrid within the 105th Session of the Executive Council of the Organization. Zurab Pololikashvili's candidacy was supported by the majority of member states. Mr. Zurab Pololikashvili will occupy new position in 2018-2021.
