Ambassador of the European Union was satisfied with the pace of construction of Samtredia Grigoleti road

First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Ilia Darchiashvili and EU Ambassador Janos Herman visited Samtredia Grigoleti section of the high speed highway  of  Georgia.

Construction works of Samtredia Grigoleti section of the Highway are being implemented with financial support of European Investment Bank.  Janos Herman  was satisfied with the pace of the construction works  and noted that construction of highway is one of the most important project for Georgia. It will make easier movement for local population and besides it, Georgian road system will be connect to the european road system  by the highway .  This will contribute to further accelerate the integration with Europe.

In the coming days Samtredia Grigoleti 11 km section will be opened, which will allow residents of Georgia and tourists to travel across the country comfortably.
